Ingredients
- Flattened Puffed Rice 2 cups (1/2 kg)
- Peanuts 1/2 cup
- Cashew 1/2 cup sliced
- Dry Coconut 1/2 cup
- Cornflakes 1/2 cup
- Green chillies 3 - 4 chopped
- A few curry leaves
- Mustard Seeds 1 tbs
- Cumin Seeds 1 tbs
- Turmeric Powder 1 - 2 tsp
- Asafoetida 1 tsp
- Dry red chillies 2
- Powdered Sugar 1 tbs
- Dry Mango Powder 1 tbs
- Salt to taste
- Rock Salt to taste
- Oil 4 - 5 tbs
Directions
- Heat a pan add chivda / flattened rice and dry roast on a medium flame for 7 - 8 mins. remove and keep aside.
- Heat oil in the same pan add 1 tbsp of oil add peanuts and roast till it turns golden brown.
- Similarly, roast cornflakes and cashews also and keep them aside.
- Now for tempering take the same pan take 1/2 tsp - 1 tbs oil add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, dry red chillies, chopped green chillies and curry leaves saute on a medium flame for few seconds.
- Add all the roasted ingredients together add salt, rock salt and sugar mix everything well.
- Add the tempering and mix all together. Your Chivda Mixture is ready.

- To make it more healthy you can add pumpkin seeds to this mixture.
