Besan Ke Laddu
Besan Ke Laddu is an Indian dessert that is made out of gram flour, Sugar, and Clarified butter (Ghee). This Laddu recipe is very easy and quick to make and has a shelf-life of 4-6 weeks. Besan ke laddu is generally made during festivals in India, especially during Holi and Diwali. The Besan ke Laddu is offered to God 'Hanuman Ji'.

- Preparation Time 5 - 10 minutes
- Cooking Time 30 minutes
- Serves 4 - 6
Ingredients
- Besan ( Gram Flour) 2 cup
- Sugar Powdered 3/4 cup
- Ghee 1/4 cup
- Green Cardamom Powder 1 tsp
- Almonds for garnish
Directions
- In a pan/kadhai, add besan and roast it for 5 - 7 minutes.
- Now add ghee and roast for another 8 - 10 minutes. It takes about 20 mins to get cooked, and it will start giving a nutty fragrance.
- Turn off the flame and let it cool down to room temperature.
- Now, add cardamom powder and powdered sugar in it and mix well.
- Start shaping the laddu. shape into tight hard balls.
- Roll the balls into your hands and make the ball smooth, garnish with almonds. Besan Ke Laddu is ready!!
Instant Kitchenette Tip
- Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder while roasting for better color.
- If it does not cools entirely, it becomes moist when sugar is added so wait for the besan mixture to cool down completely and then add the sugar.
- You can add 1 - 2 tbs of melted ghee if the mixture becomes dry.
- If your mixture is too moist add 2 - 3 tbsp of roasted besan or rawa.
