Achaari Namak Pare - Holi Special
Namakpare
Namak para is one of the most common snacks you will find in confectionary and chai shops in India. Namak para is made from all-purpose flour seasoned with different spices. Their salty and crispy taste gives a nice treat to your taste buds
Holi celebration parties are incomplete without Namakpare, once they are served on a plate, it is impossible to stop your hand until the plate gets empty.

Ingredients
- All-Purpose Flour 1 cup
- Carom Seeds 1 tsp
- Baking Soda a pinch
- Ghee 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as required
- Oil For frying
For Chatpata Masala
- Cumin Powder 1 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder 1tsp
- Fennel Seed Powder 1 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Rock Salt 1 tsp
- Amchur Powder 1 tsp
Directions
- In a mixing bowl add all-purpose flour, carom seeds, a pinch of baking soda, salt, ghee, and rub the flour very well so that it can hold a shape.
- Now drizzle a little water and knead a stiff dough. cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, add all the dry spices and prepare the masala.
- Knead gently the rested dough and roll a big chapati, which has to be a little thick.
- Take a pizza cutter or knife and cut it into criss-cross to give it a diamond shape or shape of your choice.
- Heat oil in a kadhai drop in the namakapare and deep fry them on medium to low flame until golden and crisp. take them out on an absorbent paper.
- Sprinkle the prepared masala. Ready to serve!
Instant Kitchenette Tip
- Add 1/2 tsp of sugar powder to the chatpata masala to balance out the flavors.
