Rawa Uttapam/ Instant Sooji Uttapam

Rawa Uttapam/Instant SoojiUttapam are for breakfast, made with semolina, veggies, and spices. These uttapams are extremely delicious and can be made in under 20 - 25 minutes. You can serve them hot with chutneys of your choice, topping the uttapam with all yummy seasonal veggies just gave this dish a rich look, taste, and yummies along with health benefits.

Ingredients

  • Rawa (semolina) 2 cup
  • Curd  1 cup
  • Water  2 cups (as required)
  • Salt to taste
  • Onion  1 finely chopped
  • Tomato  2 finely chopped
  • Fresh Coriander handful
  • Capsicum 1 finely chopped
  • Baking Soda  1 tsp
  • Green Chilies to taste
  • Chat Masala as required
  • Oil as required

Directions

  • In a large mixing bowl add 1 cup of sooji (semolina), 1 cup of curd, 1.5 cups of water, salt, and mix well. keep aside and let it rest for 15 - 20 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, chop all the veggies and keep them aside.
  • After resting add 1 tsp of baking soda and give the mixture a good mix. adjust the water and bring it to semi-thick consistency or thicker than dosa batter.
  • Now heat a pan pour one full ladle of the batter giving it a round shape, and 1.5 mm in thickness.
  • Top it with mixed veggies, green chilies, coriander, and sprinkle some chat masala.
  • Sprinkle some oil on the sides of the uttapam and cover for 2 - 3 minutes, flip over and cook from another side equally. cook properly
  • Serve hot with the chutney of your choice.

Instant Kitchenette Tip

  • You can grate cheese on the top uttapam to make it more appealing and kid's favorite.
