Corn N' Cheese Lollipops/cutlets
Here is an irresistible Corn N' Cheese lollipop that is super easy to make and tastes so good. Often refer as corn cutlets when flatten, these cutlets are crisp melt in the mouth. corn, cheese, and potatoes mashed together with simple mild spices and herbs. You can either shallow fry or deep fry them as per your choices, you can also choose them to air fry for much healthier options.
Ingredients
- Corn Kernels 1 cup
- Boiled Potatoes 1 cup
- Processed Cheese 1/2 cup
- Cornflour 2 - 3 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Fresh chopped coriander handful
- Green chilies to taste
- Ginger-Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
- Bread crumbs 1/2 cup
- Corn starch slurry ( 2 -3 tbsp cornflour mixed with 1/4 cup of water)
- Oil for frying
Directions
- Grind the corn kernels to a coarse paste.
- In a mixing bowl add corn paste, boiled potatoes, grated cheese, cornflour, green chilies, fresh coriander, salt to taste and mix everything well.
- Make small balls out of the mixture and flatten them.
- Dip the balls in the slurry and roll them in the bread crumbs.
- Refrigerate the balls for 15 minutes.
- Now heat oil in a pan and fry them on medium to low flame until they turn golden brown from both the sides.
- Serve Hot!
